The Loved
Rorri loves only a few things in life. Cars have always and will always be her first love, or so she proclaims. Fixing them, building them, racing them, she just loves cars. Her favorites are the older style muscle cars. When she was living in London she used to help the family mechanic fix the cars. Her second love is running. Growing up she used to run track in her other schools. Hurdles were her best and favorite when on the team. Now she just does it for fun. Also drawing. She has a small talent for it but nothing too major. Tribal art and cars are really her specialty. Her walls in her room are covered in her car drawings. Probably one of her other favorite things to do is meet new people. She knows about the different raced and really Rorri doesn’t care if they are different. So long as they don’t try to kill her she doesn’t mind them. But in her opinion anyone, no matter the race, can be the bad guy. And then her fifth like would have to be electronics. She is good with the numbers and able to fix things with wires like none other. One reason why she is also so good at fixing cars. Makes understanding the fundamentals and complexities in cars rather easy for her.
The Hated
Rorri isn’t the kind of person to hate. Like most outgoing, outspoken teens she isn’t all that fond of school. Go figure really. She also doesn’t really like living on a schedule. She is more of a go with the flow kind of girl. Jerks is probably the only thing she will associate with hate. She just can’t stand those people who seem to constantly have a stick up their ass and isn’t afraid to say so. And as odd as it may sound she doesn’t like motorcycles. This is because she sees them as death traps. Rorri sits there and sees all the people ride them and get in accidents and not surviving, just not the way she likes the thought. She will still work on them in the shop but it is far from willing and there is not five minutes that will pass that she doesn’t give the bike a dirty look. Probably her last hate would be cloudy nights. She loves looking at the night sky seeing the constellations and so clouds just suck.
The Feared
Fear is another thing that Rorri doesn’t really have much of. The full moon is one of them because of the werewolves. She doesn’t mind them in their human forms but their animal forms scare her mainly because she feels they just look at her like a piece of meat. She also has a fear of enclosed spaces, mainly rooms with no windows. Clausterphobia was what the docs always called it so she just went with it for the most part. Her final fear, probably the most serious, and the one Rorri is working to get over is the fear of being touched. It is also due to her history but she isn’t found of this fear. It takes some time usually before she lets someone touch her without flinching or pulling away.
(Sorry I know there is only three but I couldn't think of any others >.<)
The Attitude
Rorri on the outside is fun loving and out going. She loves to be in big groups and laugh and smile with them. But she is careful in them still making sure she isn’t touched too much, mainly by men. Literally she comes off as a ball of energy and certainly isn’t worried about telling you’re her mind. Though she has been known to sugar coat things if she thinks them too mean.
On the inside though, the side many don’t know and as many never will, is quiet, withdrawn, and constantly depressed. Though she will wear a smile around she doesn’t mean it, just that good at acting. No one at school so far knows it and the only one who has known is Amanda her ex-girlfriend. Though it isn’t for lack of trying. She would be willing to try to let people in.
The Past
Born in Hasting her family only lived there for two years before moving to London. Rorri spent most of her time with her eight year old brother Danial and their mother Rosemary. She learned to walk late but once she got going her feet never stopped. She liked to run and once reaching the age of five and she was able to enter school recess was her favorite time. Always spending time with others more often then not playing tag. She was a good kid, had good grades and friends. Rorri progressed through school even better then Danial had but that wasn’t a bad thing. Her brother was more of a fighter.
It was when she turned eight that Rorri learned why. Her father Michael had always gone out of town for work. She was finally able to know why, he was a hunter. But not one of animals but of other kinds of humans. Rorri hated him for it and when he started to train her she learned enough to land a kick to his groin before running away from him. Danial found her that night to take her back home and even stood up to their father when he tried to hit Rorri. The words spoke to her that night as she went to bed were “I see I have only one child” spoken by her father. The words hurt and they were the last that he said to her for many years.
The next years of her life were uneventful. She joined the track team at her school and spent all her free time in the family’s garage with Tim their mechanic. It was the night of her fifteenth birthday that hell broke loose. She was asked to a date by a guy from track, dinner and a movie. But he didn’t do either of those. Instead he parked in an alley and started to touch her. Rorri protested but the guy was stronger then her. Panicking she screamed and still he kept coming. His hands touched things and places no one else had before. His pants came undone and he forced her head down towards his lap. Just as Rorri was about to touch the intimate part of him the driver side door flew opened and there stood Danial a gun in hand. He yanked the boy from the car and beat him to a bloody pulp before going to her door, opening it, and picking her small form up.
The minute he walked away from the scene to the 1987 Firebird Rorri started to cry. The tears just flowed all the way home and Danial carried her straight to her room completely brushing their mom off. Tucking her in she stayed there for two weeks unwilling to go to school. Danial and their mum checked on her daily but never her father. Finally she was forced to go to school again but it wasn’t the same. She dropped from the track team and changed her circle of friends but it just wasn’t the same. Finally her mother agreed to let her transfer school sending her to a boarding school in Hastings.
It was an all girls school. Not what Rorri had had in mind but it was where she met Amanda. That was when she learned that she was attracted to both genders. They entered a pretty steady relationship and were the hit of the school. That was until the day the letter came. It was one week after turning sixteen that she got her first contact from home, a letter from Aunt Annie. That next morning her plane touched down and she was met by her chopher and taken home. Her mother took one look at her and exploded that this was all her fault. Finally Uncle Frank escorted her out so her aunt could speak with her mother. The boy from a year ago had caught Danial off guard one night, not an easy thing to do. He had been turned into a werewolf and it had been a full moon. He shifted and mauled her bother to death. Rorri was crushed. She was aloud to stay for the funeral but then she was sent away.
This time far away. Her Aunt’s choice. They sent her to a school in a different country. It was called Dark Academy. There were day and night classes and the Head of the School wasn’t so bad. Rorri made a couple friends but spent most of her time running. One day she came across a closed down garage. She approached the Headmistress who agreed to let her use it and she was able to convince her Uncle to send over the Firebird her brother had left to her. She opened up the garage to automobiles and electronics having picked that up from her now ex-girlfriend.
She still has issues from everything that happened in the last year. If anyone touches her without her knowing who often Rorri pulls away or cringes. It’s not as bad as it used to be but she still doesn’t really let anyone in. she is like a locked book that not everyone can open and read. Though she has managed to make a couple of friends among her fellow day students and she keeps to herself that she knows the secret to some of the night students. Heck, all of the night students.
The Family
Her father is a 42 year hunter. Of course he taught Rorri to fight in order to stay safe but that was really all the attention he ever paid her unless it was to use her to get to his target. The one most of his time was spent on was her older brother Danial. He was the one that became the hunter in her father’s foot steps. But Dan loved Rorri and was very protective of her. Was the reason he was killed. That was also the day her mother stopped saying ‘I love you’ and instead just glared at her barely saying two words when at one point mother and daughter had been almost inseparable.
The Finale
The engine of the 1987 Firebird roared as she drove down the long drive to the gates of the school. She knew they would be open, they had been everyday. Of course Rorri had just spent the day out on the streets of the nearby city. Of course she had been out racing as she did every day after classes let up. It was the only time she was able to think life was okay, even when she knew it wasn’t. sighting she slowed down just a gear to hit the tight ‘S’ curve that came just before the gates. Reaching the iron she tapped the breaks and down shifted to fourth. No reason to get called into the office for ‘reckless’ driving…again.
Taking a side road she wound the dark purple and red car through the trees and towards the garage. Apparently at one point there had been another mechanic. Now Rorri took the job. She was surprised by all the people that had cars. But she also used it for a shop to fix electronics. That was what she used the back room for. Hitting the button Rorri idled while the door to the garage opened. Once enough clearance was given she pulled forward slowly into the metal building. Turning the key the engine shut off and she opened the door.
The fumes of oil, gas, and other fuels met her nose and the girl sighed. This was her home now. She spent as much time here as she could and loved every second she could. Shutting the door she went back and opened the trunk. She pulled out the transmission and clutch for the 1992 Mustang sitting next to her own baby. It was deep blue with black racing stripes. “Alright buddy let’s fix you up.” She said and put the towel in the back pocket of her hip hugger jeans while she pulled the over shirt off leaving her in a tank top to work. A baseball cap was placed on her head to keep back the shorter strands of her hair. Finally all ready she started to trade out the old parts for the new to get it back to the owner.
